Doug restricts his mediation practice to employment law disputes and adopts an evaluative approach to the mediation process. Doug obtained a certificate from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, for successfully completing the Advanced ADR Program a number of years ago, and he mediates employment disputes on a part-time basis.
Since 1989 Doug, who is a practicing lawyer, has restricted his legal practice to employment, labour and human rights law. He is Managing Partner of the MacLeod Law Firm. He represents employees and employers.
Doug has taught a number of courses at George Brown College including employment law, labour relations and human rights law, and the Law Society of Upper Canada has certified him to provide Continuing Legal Education programs to other lawyers on various employment law issues. He writes and speaks frequently on employment law issues.
